On August 10, 2023, Mark Andrew Proctor, age 62, passed away after an intense fight against lymphoma.

Mark was born in Plattsburg, NY, to Owen and Virgina (Gina) Proctor. The Proctors were a military family as Owen served in the United States Air Force, which allowed them to live in several places such as Mississippi, California, England, and Texas. During Mark's early years, he enjoyed playing soccer, golf, football, frisbee golf, and softball. Mark graduated from Crockett High School here in Austin and attended Southwest University (now known as Texas State) in San Marcos, TX. After, Mark enlisted in the United State Navy where he spent time on the USS Semmes.

Mark's later career consisted of 30+ years within the transportation/logistics industry and 25+ years in management roles. Mark had excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a skillful negotiator and collaborative team leader with proven success fostering growth among colleagues and building long-lasting business relations. He was best known for his humor, wit, and work ethic. Mark concluded his career with Hellas Construction as the Asphalt Paving and Transportation Manager.

Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf with his friends, cooking for family gatherings, and watching television with his boxer dogs. He was a dedicated fan of the University of Texas Longhorns and the Lake Travis High School Cavaliers. Mark was a loving husband, incredible father, and he valued family over everything.

Mark is survived by his wife, Mary, and his dogs, Tiggy and Annie, of Georgetown, TX; daughter, Michelle, of Austin, TX; stepson, Sean, and two grandchildren, Solveigh and Lochlon, of Longmont, CO; his father, Owen Proctor Jr., of Austin, TX; his sister, Lisabeth Proctor-Rasmussen, and her husband, Ande Rasmussen, their two children, Dane and Tess Rasmussen of Austin, TX. Mark's family greatly appreciates the continued support from Reed J. Seaton and the Hellas team, the Lakeway Police Department family, the City of Lakeway, and the doctors and medical professionals who cared for Mark during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Life is being planned to honor Mark, and additional information will be posted when finalized.
