Robert Clay Cox, age 47, of Sunrise Beach, Texas passed away September 19, 2007. He was born May 5, 1960 in Cleburne, Texas to James Robert Cox and Almeda (Staggs) Cox. Mr. Cox started his career after high school working for the Verizon Phone Company in 1978. He married his wife Paula on November 3, 1979 in Dripping Springs, Texas. Mr. Cox loved to play golf, fish, and go boating. He was very well known and loved by all he never met a stranger. Mr. Cox was an active member in the Masonic Lodge. Robert, known by all as Clay, will be deeply missed but always remembered. Mr. Cox is survived by wife, Paula of Sunrise Beach, Texas; daughter, Ami Fromme and husband Craig of Elgin, Texas; son, Adam Cox of Dripping Springs, Texas; two grandchildren, Grace Susan Fromme and Gunnar Cole Fromme of Elgin, Texas; father, James Cox of Dripping Springs, Texas; mother, Almeda Cox of Hamilton, Texas; sisters, Denise Deggs of Leander, Texas and Kimberly Cox of Austin, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday September 22, 2007 at the Sunrise Beach First Baptist Church in Sunrise Beach, Texas. Interment will be at the Sandy Mountain Cemetery in Sunrise Beach, Texas. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Putnam Funeral Home & Crematory, 145 Texas Avenue, Kingsland, Texas 78639, (325) 388-0008.
